About Us
The Old Hall is a residential care home in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, supporting older people including those living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. We offer permanent places and respite stays.
We aim to run the home the way a household runs. People get up when they are ready rather than when a rota would prefer. They keep their own belongings, their own habits and their own opinions. Meals are something to look forward to and to have a view about. Where somebody can do a thing for themselves, we support rather than replace, even when doing it for them would be quicker.
For people living with dementia, familiarity carries most of the weight. Consistent faces, a predictable shape to the day, food and music from the right part of a life, and staff who neither rush nor correct. Families frequently hold the piece of knowledge that turns a difficult week around, so we ask and we listen.
Respite stays give a family carer a planned break with proper support in place for the person staying.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and visit on an ordinary day and see how the home really works.
