About Hill Farm

Hill Farm is a residential care home in Sittingbourne, Kent, supporting adults with a wide range of needs. Some of the people who live here are older, some are much younger, and the mix is part of what makes the place feel like a home rather than a category. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. That breadth means we cannot work to a single formula. What one person wants is quiet, predictability and a small number of people around them. What another wants is activity, company and a reason to get out of the house. Both are legitimate and both are planned for. Independence is something we take seriously rather than talk about. Where somebody can manage a task with a little support, that is better than having it done for them, even when doing it ourselves would be quicker. We also offer respite stays, which can give a family carer a planned break or give someone a chance to try a period away from home. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to visit, meet people and see how the home actually runs on a normal day, please get in touch.
