About Aspley House
At Aspley House, we provide residential care for younger adults, including those living with a learning disability or autism. We are based in Sittingbourne, Kent, and we also offer respite care for those who need short term support. We are proud to have been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort and commitment that runs through everything we do here. That rating means a great deal to us, not because of what it says on paper, but because of what it tells us about the experiences of the people we support every day. We understand that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person or family can make. We take that responsibility seriously. Our approach is built around getting to know each person as an individual, understanding what matters to them, how they like to spend their time, and what kind of support helps them feel confident and comfortable. For people with a learning disability or autism, we know how important it is to have a consistent, calm and familiar environment. We work hard to ensure that routines feel safe and that communication is clear and respectful. Support is tailored carefully so that each person can live as independently as possible while knowing that help is always there when needed. Our respite care gives individuals the chance to stay with us on a shorter basis, whether that is to give family carers a break or to help someone try out a new setting before making a longer term decision. We approach respite with the same care and attention as we do our permanent placements. We would always encourage anyone who is curious about Aspley House to come and visit us, ask questions and get a feel for who we are.
