About Us

Grosvenor Park Care Home is a residential care home in Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex. We provide a home for older people, including many living with dementia, and we also support some younger adults and offer respite stays for shorter periods of care.

We want this to feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere people have been placed. Residents bring their own furniture and photographs, keep their own routines and decide how the day runs. Some are up early and want company and conversation straight away. Others want their own room, a newspaper and a quiet afternoon. Neither needs explaining to us, and we plan around the person rather than around what suits a rota.

Supporting people living with dementia is a large part of what we do, and steadiness is what helps most. Familiar faces, routines that change only when there is a reason, patience when words are hard to find, and a genuine effort to understand what somebody means rather than what they managed to say. Families are closely involved because they often hold the history that makes sense of the present.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and we are glad to be asked about our staffing, our training and how we handle concerns. If you are considering a care home in this part of East Sussex for someone close to you, you are welcome to visit, look round properly, meet our staff and residents and ask us whatever you need to know.
