About Us

Here at Abbey House Residential Care Home in Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex, we provide a warm and homely environment where older adults can feel genuinely comfortable, supported and at ease. We are proud to have received a "Good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the effort and commitment our whole team puts in every single day.

We support residents with a range of needs, including residential care for older people, care for those living with a physical disability, and support for individuals with visual or hearing impairment. We also offer respite care, which can be a real lifeline for families who need short term support or simply some breathing space, knowing their loved one is being looked after properly.

Bexhill on Sea is a lovely, peaceful town and we think it makes a genuinely fitting backdrop for a care home. Residents can benefit from the calm coastal setting, and we do our best to make sure life here feels like home rather than a facility. We take time to get to know each person individually, understanding their routines, preferences and what matters most to them in day to day life.

Families are always welcome here and we encourage open communication so that everyone involved in a resident's life feels informed and included. Moving into a care home is a significant step, and we take that seriously. We try to make the transition as straightforward and reassuring as possible, both for the person moving in and for those closest to them.

If you are considering care for yourself or someone you love, we would be very happy to have a conversation, show you around and answer any questions you might have. We believe the best way to understand what we offer is simply to come and see it for yourself.
