About Us
We at Edendale Lodge are proud to offer a warm and welcoming residential care home in the historic town of Battle, East Sussex, where compassionate support meets the comforts of a true home. Our residential care setting has been thoughtfully created for older people and younger adults who benefit from around the clock support in a calm, homely environment.
Nestled within the peaceful surroundings of Battle in the TN postcode area of East Sussex, our home enjoys the charm of one of the South East's most treasured historic towns. Residents can enjoy the gentle pace of life this beautiful part of the country offers, with its rich heritage, green landscapes, and close knit community feel. The setting provides a tranquil backdrop that supports wellbeing, whilst remaining easily accessible for visiting family and friends.
Our specialisms reflect the breadth of care we provide. Alongside residential care for older people, we offer dedicated dementia care, delivered with patience, kindness, and a deep understanding of how memory conditions affect each person differently. For residents living with physical disability or with visual or hearing impairment, we tailor our approach so that daily life remains dignified, engaging, and as independent as possible. We also welcome younger adults whose care needs are best met in a supportive residential setting, and we provide respite care for those who need shorter stays, whether to give family carers a well earned break or to support recovery and rest.
In practice, this means our team takes time to understand every resident as an individual. We build care plans around personal histories, preferences, and daily routines, so that each person feels genuinely known and valued. Families are welcomed as partners in care, kept informed, listened to, and reassured that their loved one is somewhere safe, comfortable, and treated with warmth.
We are pleased to hold an overall Good rating from the Care Quality Commission following our latest inspection on 30 July 2024, with Good ratings across every domain including Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. For families, this consistent picture offers reassurance that the quality of care, the leadership of the home, and the experiences of those living here have all been independently recognised as meeting the standards you would rightly expect for someone you love.
Choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we understand the weight of that moment. If you are exploring options for a parent, a partner, or another loved one, we warmly invite you to get in touch with Edendale Lodge to learn more, ask any questions, and arrange a visit. We would be honoured to show you around and help you feel confident that your family member will be cared for with the kindness, respect, and professionalism they deserve.
