About Us
At Totteridge House, we provide residential care for adults in the heart of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Our home supports people with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We also welcome younger adults and offer respite care for those who need a short break from their usual arrangements.
We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a person or family will ever make, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our aim is straightforward: to make sure each person who lives here feels genuinely at home, respected, and listened to. We work hard to understand what matters to each individual and to build support around their life rather than fitting them into a routine that suits us.
Our team works closely with residents, families, and other professionals to make sure care plans reflect real preferences and goals. We believe people should have as much choice and control over their daily lives as possible, whether that is how they spend their time, what they eat, or how they connect with their local community.
We are open about the fact that our most recent CQC inspection resulted in a requires improvement rating. We have taken that feedback seriously and have been working through the actions needed to address the areas highlighted. We are committed to being transparent with families about where we are in that process, and we welcome questions and involvement from those who have a loved one with us.
If you would like to find out whether Totteridge House could be the right fit for you or someone you care about, please do get in touch. We are always happy to arrange a visit and have an honest conversation about what we can offer.
