About Westlake

We are Westlake, a nursing home in Horsham. We care for older people and for younger adults who need nursing support. Having qualified nurses on duty at every hour is what allows us to look after people whose health is complicated or liable to change. Problems are noticed early by staff who know the person, treatment starts without waiting for somebody to visit from outside, and families are not left wondering what cover exists once the office has closed. The nursing side is essential but it is not the purpose of the place. People live here, and we work at making that a proper life. Rooms are personalised, people get up and settle at night when they choose, and meals are something to look forward to rather than an item on a timetable. Our staff take time to learn who somebody was before they needed care, because that knowledge is what separates being looked after from being managed. Relatives are welcome whenever they want to come, and we keep them informed rather than waiting to be asked. If we are worried about something we ring early. We offer respite stays as well as permanent places, which suits families needing a break and people regaining their strength after a spell in hospital. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please contact us if you would like to arrange a visit.
