About Us

We are Apsley House, a nursing home in Bognor Regis. We care for older people and for younger adults who need nursing support, including people living with a physical disability.

Having qualified nurses on duty at all hours changes what we can offer. Health problems get picked up early, treatment can start without waiting for the next visit from elsewhere, and families do not lie awake wondering what happens overnight. Wounds, catheters, complex medication and changing conditions are all managed here rather than being reasons to move somebody on.

The clinical side matters, but it is not the point of the place. People live here, and we try to make that a decent life. Rooms are personalised, people get up and go to bed when they choose, and meals are something to look forward to. Our staff take the time to learn who somebody was before they needed care, which is what makes the difference between being looked after and being managed.

We keep families closely involved and visiting is not restricted to set hours. If we are worried about something, we ring early rather than waiting.

We offer respite stays as well as permanent places, which helps families who need a break and people who need support while regaining strength after hospital. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good.

Please contact us if you would like to arrange a visit.
