About Church View
Church View is a nursing home in Staines upon Thames, Surrey. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside everyday support, for adults living with dementia and for younger adults with nursing needs, and we offer respite stays, including for people who need care while they recover from a spell in hospital. Registered nurses are on duty here at all hours. That means medication, wounds, long term conditions, continence and end of life care are managed on site, and it means changes in someone's health are noticed and acted on quickly rather than waiting for the next appointment. We work alongside GPs, community specialists and hospital teams so that decisions are made in good time. Nursing care is not the whole of life, though, and we try hard not to let it dominate. Residents choose when to get up, what to eat, where to sit and how much company they want. Rooms are furnished with people's own belongings and visitors are welcome without appointment. For residents living with dementia, we keep surroundings familiar and staffing consistent, and we take trouble to understand what lies behind distress rather than simply managing it. We keep families properly in the picture, particularly when someone becomes unwell, and we are honest with people about what is happening. If you are considering nursing care in Surrey, please arrange to visit, meet the team and look round without any pressure.
