About Us
Langham Court is a nursing home at Hindhead in Surrey. Having qualified nurses on duty means we can look after people whose health needs go beyond what a residential home can safely manage, and it means we can usually keep caring for somebody as their needs grow rather than asking them to face another move. We care for older people who need nursing support, including many living with dementia and many with physical disabilities, and we support some younger adults whose needs are met well here. We also offer respite stays for people who need nursing care for a limited period. Clinically we focus on the things that make the greatest difference: medication, skin care, nutrition and hydration, pain, safe moving and handling, and acting early when somebody's condition alters. Where physical disability is involved we think hard about equipment, seating and positioning, because those details decide how comfortable and how independent somebody can be. The rest of it matters just as much. People have their own rooms and their own belongings, choose when to get up and what to eat, and can have company or quiet as they prefer. The grounds get used when the weather allows, and families are welcome at any reasonable hour. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and see us.
