About Us

Guildford House Care Home provides residential and nursing care in Guildford. We care for older people who need help with daily living, for those who need qualified nursing and for residents living with dementia.

Offering both residential and nursing care matters more than it might sound. It means that when somebody's health changes we can adjust what we provide rather than asking them to move again, and that continuity is one of the things families tell us they value most about the place.

Nurses on duty around the clock let us manage wound and pressure care, continence needs, diabetes, pain relief and end of life care properly, working alongside GPs and district nursing teams. The rest of the job is meals people look forward to, company when it is wanted, quiet when it is not, and staff who know how a particular person likes things done.

For residents living with dementia we keep the day predictable and the staff around them consistent, and we ask families to share the history that helps us make sense of somebody.

Respite stays are available alongside permanent places.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Surrey are welcome to visit.
