About Brook House

Brook House is a nursing home in Chertsey supporting a wider mix of people than many settings of our kind. We provide nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia, and we also support adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people living with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss, including younger adults. Qualified nurses are here at every hour, which means changes in somebody's health are picked up early and managed properly, and it often means people can stay with us rather than being moved on when their needs increase. Alongside that, our aim is a place that feels like somewhere people live rather than somewhere they are treated. That means familiar faces, a day that is not governed by the clock and genuine attention to what each person enjoys. Respite care is available too, for people recovering after illness and for family carers who need a break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We take that as a baseline. The more honest measure is whether people look comfortable here and whether families feel able to walk in at any reasonable hour and ask us anything. You would be very welcome to do exactly that.
