About Abbey Chase Nursing Home

Abbey Chase Nursing Home is in Chertsey, Surrey. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside everyday support, including people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we offer respite stays. Registered nurses are on site around the clock, so medication, wound and pressure care and changing health needs are managed here and a resident does not have to move on each time their condition alters. Families often tell us that this continuity was the thing worrying them most. Nursing homes can drift towards feeling clinical and we push against that deliberately. Getting up at your own hour, eating something you actually fancy, keeping your own pictures on the wall and having someone sit down beside you rather than stand over you are not luxuries to be fitted in when there is time. Where a resident has poor sight or hearing, we check that aids are working and adapt how we communicate, because a sensory impairment can quietly push someone to the edge of a home's life without anyone meaning it to. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
