About Us
The Willows Nursing and Residential Home in Market Harborough offers both nursing and residential care, with qualified nurses on duty at all times. We care for older people and younger adults, and our experience covers dementia, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and sight and hearing loss. Respite stays are part of what we do.
Having both kinds of care under one roof matters more than it may sound. When somebody's health changes, they do not necessarily have to move again and start over with strangers, and that continuity is worth a great deal to people and to their families.
Nursing here means steady attention to the things that keep a person comfortable and well: medicines, mobility, nutrition and hydration, skin, continence and pain, reviewed properly and discussed with the person and their family rather than handled quietly in the background.
Around that, ordinary life carries on. People rise when they wake, keep their own furniture and photographs about them, choose where to spend the day and eat food that suits their taste as well as any clinical need. Where there is sensory loss we attend to lighting, contrast and working hearing aids. With dementia we rely on knowing somebody well.
Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.
