About Rusthall Lodge Care Home

Rusthall Lodge is a nursing home in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, where qualified nurses are on duty around the clock. We care for older people whose health needs mean that residential care or support at home is no longer enough, and we also welcome people for respite stays when a short period of nursing care is needed. Much of our work involves supporting residents with significant physical disabilities and those with a visual or hearing impairment. That shapes practical things, such as how a room is arranged, how we approach somebody, how we explain what we are about to do and how much time we allow for it. Rushing a person who needs longer is not care, and we do not run the house that way. Clinical care covers medication, wound care, continence, nutrition and mobility, and we work alongside local health professionals so that changes are picked up early rather than late. But nursing is only part of it. Residents decide when to get up, where to sit, who they want with them and how they spend the afternoon, and their own belongings and routines come with them. Families are kept properly informed, are welcome to visit at times that suit them, and will get a straight answer from us when something is difficult. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking at nursing care in Tunbridge Wells, please arrange to visit and see the place for yourself.
