About Us
Hutton View is a nursing home in Brentwood, Essex. We care for older people and younger adults whose needs include nursing, including many living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Respite stays are part of what we do.
Nursing on site means a change in somebody's health is handled here rather than becoming a reason to move them again. Families who have already arranged one upheaval usually understand the value of that immediately.
Comfortable surroundings matter and they are not what makes a home good. What decides it is whether the food is worth finishing, how long help takes to arrive, whether staff know who you were before you needed them, and whether anybody notices when you have gone quiet. That is where we put our effort.
For residents living with dementia we keep the routine steady and ask relatives early for the history that makes a person's remarks comprehensible rather than confusing.
Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Come and see the place on an ordinary weekday rather than by arrangement, because that is the visit that tells you something.
