About Us

Brentwood Care Centre is a nursing home in Brentwood, Essex. We care for adults who need registered nursing alongside help with daily life, including older people, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults whose health needs call for nursing care.

Nurses are on duty here at any hour, and that is what allows us to support people with genuinely complex needs. It means managing medication, skin and pressure care, continence and nutrition, and watching health closely enough that a change is picked up while it is still small. Where somebody is nearing the end of their life, it means we can keep them comfortable in familiar surroundings with people who know them.

The clinical side is only half the job. A nursing home can drift into being a place where everything is done to people and almost nothing is chosen by them, and we work against that. Residents decide when they get up, what they eat, whether they join in and who visits.

For people with a physical disability, time is the thing that matters. Transfers, positioning and personal care take as long as they take, and rushing is where dignity and safety are both lost.

Respite and short stays are available, including for people recovering after hospital.
