About Us

Redwalls Nursing Home is in Northwich, Cheshire, and we provide nursing care for older people and for younger adults whose conditions call for qualified nursing. We also take respite stays when a family carer needs a break or cover.

Having registered nurses on duty at every hour of the day and night is the foundation of what we do. Medication is managed carefully, wound care, catheter care and conditions that need regular attention are dealt with on site, and a change in someone's health is usually spotted early because the person noticing knows the resident well. We work closely with GPs, district nurses, therapists and hospital teams, and we follow matters up on a resident's behalf when progress is slow.

Nursing is only part of the picture. The rest is the ordinary business of living somewhere comfortable, and we try hard not to let clinical routine take that over. Residents choose when to get up, where to sit, what they would like to eat and whether they want company or quiet. Rooms are people's own space, filled with their own things, and visitors come when it suits them.

For younger adults especially, we are conscious that a nursing home is not where anyone expects to find themselves, so we pay attention to privacy, independence and keeping hold of interests and friendships.
