About Us
Daneside Court Nursing Home is in Northwich, providing nursing care for older people and younger adults across Cheshire West and Chester.
Having qualified nurses on site at every hour is what allows us to look after people whose health needs are substantial and liable to change. Medication, wound care, careful attention to nutrition, pain and skin, and the close monitoring that catches deterioration early are the ordinary content of our days rather than exceptional events. For a lot of the people who move in, the immediate gain is simply an end to the cycle of hospital admissions.
What we work hardest at, though, is making sure good nursing does not quietly take over somebody's life. The people here are adults with histories, opinions and preferences, and a medical need cancels none of that. So we ask before we act, we keep personal care private, we make visitors genuinely welcome rather than merely permitted, and we try to make sure the day holds something a person would have chosen for themselves.
We support younger adults as well as older people, and we are conscious that a younger person with nursing needs has very different expectations of a week.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather be judged on this afternoon than on a grade, so come and see us and ask the staff and residents what the place is really like.

More about the care at Daneside Court Nursing Home
What each type of care involves, and the questions worth asking when you call or visit.
Older Person Care
A good overall rating sits on this home's record from an inspection in July 2021, though the current registration began only in May 2026 and the rating may belong to an earlier provider. Older residents need help with washing, dressing, medication and meals, and company through the parts of the day that are otherwise empty. Daneside Court says it works hardest at making sure good nursing does not quietly take over somebody's life, and that it asks before it acts and keeps personal care private. A GP surgery and a pharmacy are each 0.1 miles away in Northwich. Ask how many staff are awake overnight, how quickly a call bell is answered, and who decides when a doctor should be called.
Younger Adults
Registered for 64 people, Daneside Court is one of the larger homes in the area, where the average is 43 places. Its own text acknowledges that a younger person with nursing needs has very different expectations of a week, which is an unusually frank admission. Northwich Station is 0.6 miles away. Ask who else under 65 lives there and what the week actually offers them.
Nursing Care
Leighton Hospital in Crewe lies 9.9 miles away, which is a fair distance to the nearest 24 hour A&E and makes nursing on site more valuable. Daneside Court says qualified nurses are on duty at every hour, handling medication, wound care, nutrition, pain and skin, and the monitoring that catches deterioration early. For many residents the immediate gain it describes is an end to the cycle of hospital admissions. Weekly fees in the North West usually run from £1000 to £1300, while Cheshire West and Chester council pays about £800 to £980. NHS Funded Nursing Care contributes roughly £235 a week where a nursing need is agreed, and the home's last inspection report dates from July 2021, so ask what has changed since.
