About Us
Orchard Manor Care Home in Chester is a nursing home caring for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing support, including many residents living with dementia.
Having nurses on site at every hour means people can stay with us as their health changes rather than facing another move at a difficult time. We pay close attention to the clinical essentials, including medication, pain relief, skin care and nutrition, and we bring in GPs and community teams early rather than late.
The day itself is what residents and families notice most, so we work at it. Flexible mornings, food cooked here and adapted to individual tastes, company for those who want it, and support with personal care given at the resident's pace rather than the rota's. For people living with dementia we keep routines familiar and spend real time learning a person's history, which is usually what helps us settle someone who is anxious.
We want to be straightforward about our position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather tell you ourselves and answer your questions, and the work of putting it right is where our attention sits.
We also offer respite care, including support after a hospital stay. Families are welcome and we encourage you to stay closely involved.
