About Lodge Care Home
Chester Lodge Care Home is a nursing home in Chester. We are registered for nursing care, so qualified nurses are on site at all hours, and that is what allows us to support people whose needs other homes find difficult to hold. We care for older adults and for younger adults. Among the people living here are those with a physical disability, people with a learning disability, autistic people, and people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing. We also support people whose difficulties involve alcohol or drugs, including people whose health has been seriously affected by years of it. Homes often decline that work. We take it because the alternative for those people tends to be repeated moves and repeated hospital admissions, and because with nursing already in the building we are in a position to do it properly. It asks for patience rather than disapproval and for a willingness to keep going when progress is not tidy. Alongside the clinical side we try to keep hold of ordinary life. Choice about when to get up, food that is actually worth eating, a garden, the city close by, and visitors at whatever hour someone can manage. Respite admissions are available where needs are too clinical for a residential home. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us and arrange to look round properly.
