About Cambeck Close

Cambeck Close is a nursing home in Bury. We care for adults who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily living, including older people, younger adults and people who have a learning disability. Having nurses on duty at all hours means we can manage complex health needs properly, including wound and pressure care, continence and catheter needs, feeding support, seizure management and the kind of monitoring that would otherwise mean repeated trips to hospital. It also means care can continue here as somebody's needs change rather than another move being necessary. Supporting people who have a learning disability alongside nursing care asks for a particular approach. The clinical side has to be done properly, but it should not become the whole of somebody's life. We take time over communication, we explain what we are doing before we do it, we give notice of change wherever we can and we support people to keep up the relationships, routines and interests that matter to them. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places, which can give families a planned break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families in Bury and across Manchester are welcome to visit.
