About Us
Quarry House Care Home is a nursing home in Bristol, providing nursing and personal care for older people whose health needs go beyond what can reasonably be managed at home. Qualified nurses are part of our team, which means we can look after people with complex or changing needs without asking them to move again.
We care for residents living with dementia, residents with physical disabilities and residents with visual or hearing impairment, and we provide respite stays for people who need care for a shorter period or whose family carer needs a rest. We work closely with doctors, district nurses and therapists whenever someone's health changes, and we would rather raise a concern early than wait.
Nursing is not the whole of life here, and we try never to let it become the whole of a resident's day. We ask about history, family, work, faith and food, and we build the shape of the day around the answers. Clinical care is given with the same attention to dignity and privacy as everything else, and we protect whatever independence a resident still has.
Families are welcome in the home and we encourage them to tell us when something does not look right. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and holding it depends on the ordinary details that our residents in Bristol notice every day.
