Voyage in Wiltshire supports autistic adults and adults with a learning disability in their own homes, working out of Trowbridge and covering the county. Much of our work is with younger adults who are building the life they want rather than settling for whatever is offered. We start from the person's own ambitions. That might be a tenancy of their own, a job, a college course, a relationship, a football season ticket or simply a week that does not get decided by other people. Then we work out what support makes that realistic, and we write it down in a way the person can actually read and recognise. Day to day that means help with cooking, cleaning, budgeting and appointments, support to travel and get out, and staff alongside somebody in situations that would otherwise be too much. It also means consistency: the same familiar team, plenty of notice about changes, and communication that fits the person rather than the other way round. We work closely with families, social workers and health colleagues, and we expect to be challenged when we have misjudged something. We have not yet had a full inspection under this registration, so we would rather you asked us searching questions and spoke with people we already support than took our description at face value.
