About Alabaré

We are Alabaré, based in Salisbury, and we provide support in people's own homes across Wiltshire. The people we work with are a wide group, and deliberately so. Older people, many living with dementia. Adults with learning disabilities and autistic people. Adults living with mental ill health. People with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Younger adults. People living with an eating disorder, and people dealing with problems with alcohol or drugs. That range means we cannot offer a standard package, and we do not pretend to. Support begins with a conversation about how life actually is now, what has become difficult, what somebody wants to keep doing for themselves and what would genuinely help. From there we agree the support, and we revise it as circumstances move. In much of our work the most valuable thing we provide is simply steadiness. Turning up when we said we would. Not treating a difficult week as a crisis. Not judging. For people in recovery, and for people living with an eating disorder or with mental ill health, that reliability often matters more than any particular task we carry out. Support may cover personal care, medication, meals, mobility, shopping, paperwork, or help getting out to work, college and the community. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us if you would like to talk about what support might look like.
