About Jigsaw Creative Care

We are Jigsaw Creative Care, and we provide support in people's own homes in Reading and the surrounding area. The word creative in our name reflects how we work. People's lives do not come in standard shapes, so we would rather build something that fits than offer a package off the shelf. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. We also support older people who need help to stay at home, and a good many younger adults who are working out how to run a household of their own. Practically that covers personal care where it is needed, cooking, cleaning, budgeting, medication, appointments and keeping a tenancy going, but it also covers the parts of life that make a week worth having: college, work, volunteering, clubs, friends and family. We spend time on how each person communicates and on what makes a day feel manageable, and we write down what we learn so that it is not lost when the rota changes. Where somebody wants to take a risk, we look for ways to support it safely instead of saying no. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission.
