About Home Instead

Home Instead in Reading provides care to people in their own homes across Reading and the surrounding area of West Berkshire. We are a home care agency, so everything we do happens on your terms and in your own surroundings. The people we visit are very varied. Some are in their nineties and want a little help in the morning and somebody to talk to. Some are living with dementia and need calm, familiar support that does not rush them. Some have a physical disability and know exactly what help they want and how they want it given. Others are autistic or have a learning disability and are working towards a more independent life. What holds all of that together is fairly simple. We listen first, we agree what help is wanted rather than assuming it, and we send people who turn up when they said they would.
