About Us
Kingsley Home Care supports people in their own homes across south Suffolk and north Essex, working out of Sudbury. We visit older people, people living with dementia and people with a physical disability, helping them to carry on living where they want to be.
Most of the people we support do not want their lives rearranged. They want the specific bits that have become difficult taken care of, and the rest left alone. So we ask carefully. It might be help to wash and dress in the morning, a hand with medication, a hot meal at midday, or support to get to the shops and appointments. It might be a call at bedtime that means someone can settle safely.
For people living with dementia we keep our visits as consistent as possible, both in timing and in who arrives. A familiar carer at a familiar hour makes a visit reassuring rather than startling, and it also means our staff spot changes quickly.
We cover a rural patch and we plan our rounds realistically, because promising times we cannot keep helps nobody. We keep families informed with the person's agreement, and we raise anything that concerns us with the GP or district nurses without delay.
