About Us
We are WeAreFamily Care, a home care agency supporting adults in their own homes in Stowmarket and across the surrounding parts of Suffolk. We work with older people and with younger adults, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities.
Most people contact us for a simple reason. They want to stay in their own home and they need some help to make that safe and manageable. Our job is to provide exactly that much, without gradually taking over a life somebody is still running. So we begin by asking what a person's day actually looks like, what they can still do, what has become hard and what would make the greatest difference.
Visits might cover personal care, help with medication, meals, household tasks, appointments and getting out and about, or simply reliable company for somebody who lives alone. We also provide cover for family carers who are doing most of the caring themselves and need a genuine rest.
Suffolk is a rural county and travel time is real, so we are honest at the outset about the areas we can serve properly and the times we can commit to. A call time we cannot keep is worse than a straight refusal.
