About Us

My Care at Home provides care and support in people's own homes in Stowmarket and the surrounding parts of Suffolk. Our work is built around the life somebody already has, and the aim is to support it rather than reorganise it for our convenience.

We support older adults who need help with personal care, medication, meals or getting safely about the house, and people living with dementia, where familiarity and an unhurried manner are worth more than anything else we could offer. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, where the point is to build confidence and skills at the individual's own pace, and with people who have physical disabilities, helping with washing, dressing, mobility and getting out into the world while leaving the person deciding how things are done. We support younger adults too, whose weeks are usually built around work, study, family or plans of their own, and whose care should fit around those things.

We keep the team around each person as small and consistent as the rota allows, because trust is built through familiarity.
