About Us

NAS Community in East Anglia supports autistic adults and adults with a learning disability in and around Mildenhall, across Suffolk and the counties nearby. We also support older people who want to carry on living in their own homes with the right help in place.

Our starting point is that the person knows their own life better than we do. Some of the people we support want help with cooking, budgeting and getting to appointments. Others need a familiar person alongside them in situations that would otherwise be overwhelming, or a routine that stays predictable from one week to the next. We ask, we listen, and we write the support plan around the answer.

That means paying attention to the details other people skip over. How much noise a room has in it. Whether a change of worker needs flagging days in advance. Which forms of communication actually land, whether that is speech, writing, symbols or simply time and patience. We train our teams to notice these things and to keep the approach consistent between them.
