About Us
Right at Home Ipswich, Woodbridge and Felixstowe supports people in their own homes across this corner of Suffolk. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people managing mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities, people with sight or hearing loss and younger adults.
We built this around relationships rather than tasks, because a rushed fifteen minutes helps almost nobody. Our calls are long enough to do things properly and to have a real conversation. We introduce carers before care begins, and we keep the same small team going to the same household so that nobody is opening the door to a stranger.
The work itself covers personal care, medication, meals, shopping and housework, help to get to appointments and see friends, and company for people who might otherwise go days without speaking to anyone. For those living with dementia we hold the routine steady, learn about the person's earlier life and train our teams to work with how somebody experiences the world rather than correcting them.
Our carers are trained thoroughly, paid for their travel time so that calls are not clipped, and supported by an office that answers the phone.
Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us outstanding overall. We are proud of it, and clear with ourselves that it describes work already done. Please ring if you would like to talk about care at home locally.
