About AMTC Care
AMTC Care provides home care across Southwark and the neighbouring parts of south London, supporting people in their own homes. Most of our work is with older adults, a good number living with dementia. We also support younger adults, people managing a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability. Inner London brings its own difficulties. Flats above shops, lifts that fail, stairs that were nothing twenty years ago, and households where somebody can genuinely be alone for days. We plan around the building and the street as they actually are rather than an idealised version of them. Home care stands or falls on reliability, so that is where we put our effort. Arriving when we said we would. Sending workers who have been to the house before. Ringing the family when something seems wrong instead of leaving a note on the table. None of it is clever, and all of it is the difference between help that helps and help that adds to the worry. Visits cover washing and dressing, medicines, meals, housework, shopping, appointments and getting out, from half an hour upwards. We have not yet had a full inspection by the Care Quality Commission, so there is no overall rating to show you. We would rather say so plainly. Ring us and judge us on the visit and the conversation.
