About Us
Haven GB Healthcare provides care in people's own homes in Wantage and the surrounding part of Oxfordshire.
We support older people, including those living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults whose care needs sit alongside ordinary life. Support ranges from a short call in the morning to several visits a day, and it is planned around what a person actually wants rather than around a standard package.
Home care is not only a set of tasks. For many of the people we visit, a carer is the main contact they have in a day, and it is the point at which changes get noticed. Somebody eating less than last month. A bruise that was not there before. A person who seems quieter or less steady. Carers who know a household well see these things, which is why we try hard to send the same faces and why we would rather do that than fill a rota with whoever is free.
