About SeCareServe
We provide care at home in and around Swindon, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. People usually come to us at a point of change: a fall, a stay in hospital, a diagnosis, or the gradual realisation that managing alone has become harder than it used to be. Our job is to put enough support around that for life to carry on at home. For some people a single morning visit to help with washing, dressing and medication is enough. Others need calls through the day and into the evening, help with meals and shopping, and support to move about the house safely. We agree what is needed with the person and whoever they want involved, and we review it honestly rather than leaving an old plan in place. Continuity is what we work hardest at. A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually quiet, and the person is spared explaining themselves again and again. For people living with dementia, a familiar and unhurried visit does more good than anything written down. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach a senior colleague whenever they want advice. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly. If you are thinking about care at home, please get in touch.
