About Us

We provide care at home in Didcot, Abingdon and the surrounding parts of Oxfordshire. Those we visit include older adults, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults.

We think hard about how long a call needs to be. A quarter of an hour will complete a task and will not do it properly with somebody frail or in pain, so we prefer fewer, longer visits.

We also pay attention to what happens between our visits, since that is most of a person's day. Are the tablets within reach. Is there something in the fridge they can manage alone. Has the post piled up. Those are usually what decides whether somebody is coping or quietly struggling, and our carers are asked to notice and to say so.

We are careful about how we come and go. Keys and entry arrangements are agreed in writing, we announce ourselves properly, and we leave a home as we found it.

Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We treat it as a baseline rather than a finish, and we would rather a family rang us about something small in the week it happened.
