About Us
Goldsmith Personnel provides care and support in people's own homes across Chipping Norton and the surrounding parts of Oxfordshire. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic people, people with physical disabilities or with loss of sight or hearing, and people managing mental health conditions.
Rural home care has its own practical difficulties. Distances between calls are real, and a carer running late is a genuine problem for somebody waiting to be helped out of bed. We plan our rotas with that in mind and we would rather cover a smaller area properly than a wider one badly.
The support itself ranges from short prompting calls to several longer visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals, company and getting out of the house. We agree it with the person, write it in plain language, and change it when their circumstances change.
We keep the same carers with the same households as far as we can. In a scattered rural patch that consistency matters even more, because for some of the people we visit the carer is the main person they see all day.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us to talk about support.
