About Us
Good Oaks Homecare supports adults in their own homes in Bicester, Oxford and the surrounding area. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and people who have sight or hearing loss.
We begin by asking how your day currently goes and where it stops working, then build the visits around that rather than around a standard package. The practical ground will be familiar: help with washing and dressing, medicines, cooking and eating properly, laundry and tidying, shopping, and getting out to appointments, groups or simply to see people. Some people want one brief call each morning. Others need support several times a day, and for some the company matters as much as the tasks.
Continuity is what makes home care work or fail. Being helped with personal care by somebody unfamiliar is genuinely uncomfortable, and for anybody living with dementia a stranger at the door can unsettle a whole morning, so we keep the team around each person small and give notice when a change cannot be avoided.
