About SureCare

SureCare Oxfordshire supports people in their own homes in and around Abingdon. We work with older people, with younger adults, and with people living with dementia, mental ill health or a physical disability, and the thread running through all of it is helping somebody stay where they want to be. Care at home only works if it fits the person. For some of the people we visit that is a single call in the morning to get the day started properly. For others it is several visits, support with medication, help getting out to appointments, or a longer stretch of company for someone who would otherwise be on their own from one day to the next. We talk it through with the person and with their family, write the plan down clearly, and adjust it when things shift. We put real effort into sending the same carers to the same homes. When someone is helping with washing and dressing, familiarity is not a luxury, and consistent staff also notice early when a person is not quite themselves. Our staff are trained for the conditions they actually meet, particularly dementia, and are expected to slow down rather than rush when somebody is anxious or muddled. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are weighing up support for yourself or a relative, ring us and we will give you an honest answer about what will help.
