About Us

Our work is mostly about keeping somebody's own life going rather than replacing it. That might be a short call each morning so a person can get up, wash and take their medication and then get on with the day unaided. For a younger adult or somebody with a learning disability it is often the practical support that keeps a tenancy, a job or a college place going.

Working across a large rural county means travel and timing have to be taken seriously. A visit squeezed to fit a rota is not worth much to the person receiving it, so we plan calls with enough time to do the job properly and to have a conversation while we are there.

Continuity is what we build our rotas around. The same small group of carers going to the same person makes personal care easier to accept, and it means somebody who knows their usual self notices early when things are not right.
