About Helping Hands

We are a home care agency working in Lincoln and the surrounding parts of Lincolnshire, supporting people in their own homes. We visit older people, including many living with dementia, adults with a learning disability or autism, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Because the people we support are so different from one another, so is the support. For some it is brief daily calls covering personal care, medication and a meal. For others it is longer visits built around independence, getting out of the house and managing the parts of the week that have become hard. For a family under real strain, it may simply be reliable help at the times of day that had become impossible to cover. We agree what is needed with the person first, write it down clearly and review it properly when things change rather than letting a plan go stale in a folder. Continuity is something we take seriously. The same carers going to the same people means a familiar face at the door and somebody who will notice quickly when a person is not themselves.
