About Us

Lincolnshire Domiciliary Care, part of the Royal Mencap Society, supports people in their own homes in Boston and the surrounding parts of Lincolnshire.

Much of our work is with adults who have a learning disability or autism. There what helps most is communication suited to the individual, a routine that can be relied upon and support that builds skills and confidence rather than quietly replacing them. We take time to understand how somebody prefers to be approached and what they are trying to tell us, including when that is not said in words. Where a person has goals of their own, whether that is cooking a meal unaided, using public transport or getting into work or education, we plan support that draws back as they grow into it.

We also support older adults who need help with the everyday things that have become harder, and younger adults, whose weeks are usually built around work, study, family or plans of their own.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased about that, and clear that it describes what was found at one point and has to be earned again every week. Please contact us and ask in detail how we would approach things.
