About Us

We are the North Division Domiciliary Care Branch, based in Grantham and supporting people in their own homes across this part of Lincolnshire. We work with adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults and people with mental health needs.

Our starting point is that support should widen what someone can do rather than take it over. Much of our work is about ordinary life. We support people to manage their own home, to cook, to shop, to handle appointments and correspondence, to take part in activities they enjoy and to keep up relationships that matter to them. Where personal care is needed we provide it with proper regard for privacy and dignity. Where someone wants to take on more for themselves, we step back at their pace and stay available.

Communication is central to the work, so we take time to learn how each person expresses preferences and discomfort, and we adapt rather than expecting them to. Mental health support asks for patience and for noticing a change early, and we work alongside colleagues in local health teams where that helps. Plans are written with the person, in their words, and reviewed properly.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. The measure we return to is whether the people we support have more choice and more control in their own lives.
