About Us

We are Sunshine Health Care, based in New Malden, and we provide care in people's own homes across Kingston upon Thames and nearby. The people we visit are a broad group. Older people, many living with dementia. Adults with learning disabilities and autistic people. Adults living with mental ill health. People with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Younger adults. People living with an eating disorder.

Because the range is so wide, we do not work from a standard package. Every arrangement starts with a conversation in the person's own home about how the day actually runs, what has become difficult, what somebody still wants to do unaided and what would make the biggest difference. From there we set the visits, and we expect to change them as life changes.

Support might be help with washing and dressing, a prompt and a check with medication, a meal cooked and eaten with company, help getting safely about the house, or a hand with shopping and appointments. For autistic people and for people living with an eating disorder in particular, predictability, patience and a complete absence of judgement matter more than anything else we could offer.

We keep the same carers going to the same households wherever the rota allows, because familiarity is what makes care easy to accept.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us if you would like to talk it through, whatever you decide in the end.
