About Us
Enspíra provides care and support to people in their own homes in Dartford and across Kent. We work with older people and younger adults, including people with a learning disability, people who are autistic, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment.
Our aim is to provide the particular help that makes independent living workable, and nothing beyond that. Some people need support with personal care, medication and meals. Others need help to keep a tenancy running, manage money and appointments, or get out to work, college, a group or family. We ask what is wanted rather than assuming, and we take care not to do things for people that they would rather do themselves.
Support is agreed with the person before anything starts, written down plainly and reviewed as circumstances change. Where somebody is going through a difficult stretch we can increase the help and then reduce it again once things settle.
For people who do not use speech, our team learns how each person makes themselves understood, and we treat distress as something with a cause rather than as behaviour to be managed.
