About Us
Pacific Care on the Isle of Wight provides care and support in people's own homes in Sandown and across the island. Our purpose is to make home a place where somebody can be properly looked after, so that staying put remains a real option.
The people we support have a wide range of needs. Older adults who need help with personal care, medication, meals and staying safe at home. People living with dementia, where familiarity and an unhurried manner do more good than anything else. People living with mental health conditions, where a steady relationship and early recognition of changes count for most. People with physical disabilities, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, where we adapt how we assist and how we communicate. We also support people living with eating disorders and people affected by alcohol or drug misuse, without judgement and at the pace they set, and younger adults whose weeks revolve around work, study and family.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather say so here than leave you to find it elsewhere. The areas identified are where our attention is going at present, and we are happy to discuss them frankly with anyone considering us.
