About Us
We are Apex Prime Care on the Isle of Wight, a home care agency based in Sandown and supporting people across the island. We visit adults in their own homes so they can stay in the place and the community they know.
We support older people and people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities or autism, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who want help to live independently. The support ranges from one short call a day through to several visits covering personal care, medication, meals and company.
Working on an island shapes how we operate. Rounds have to be planned realistically around distances and the seasons, and we would rather be honest at the outset about what we can cover than agree to something our rota cannot sustain. We also know how much island life depends on familiar faces, so we try to keep the same small team visiting the same person.
The plan belongs to the person. We agree it with them, we revise it when their needs change, and we record what we have done so that anything different is picked up early.
