About Us

Urban Group of Care provides support at home to people in Waltham Abbey and the surrounding parts of Essex. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with people who have physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, and with younger adults who need support to live independently. Our visits are built around the person's own routine rather than a fixed package. That might be a call first thing to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day starts safely, support at several points with meals, mobility, laundry and the house, or a hand to get out to appointments, the shops and the people who matter. For many of the households we visit, having somebody familiar with time to talk properly counts for as much as anything else we do. We come out before anything begins, agree the plan with the person and whoever they want involved, write it in plain words and review it as needs change. We say honestly when we think somebody needs more than can safely be provided at home. Keeping the same carers going into the same households is something we work at, because familiar carers notice the small changes and can raise them early. The Care Quality Commission has not yet issued an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.
