About Us

Crossroads Care Tendring and Colchester provides care and support in people's own homes across the area. Our work is arranged around the life somebody already leads, and we are particularly conscious of family carers, who often need support every bit as much as the person they care for.

The people we support have a wide range of needs. Older adults who need help with personal care, medication, meals and staying safe at home. People living with dementia, where familiarity and patience are worth more than anything else. Adults with a learning disability or autism, where the point is to build confidence at the person's own pace. People living with mental health conditions, where a steady relationship and early recognition of changes count for most. People with physical disabilities, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, where we adapt how we assist and how we communicate. We also support people living with eating disorders and people affected by alcohol or drug misuse, without judgement, and younger adults whose weeks revolve around work, study and family.

We keep the group of workers visiting each person as small and consistent as we can.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch and ask us anything you need to know.
